In a time where we (Canadians) are seeing our social feeds full of aggressive political posts hoping to sway our friend network one way or the other, we got a break today, a lil seventh inning stretch if you will. That break was a 400 foot HR and a 20 foot bat toss from Jose Bautista that sent the nation into an absolute crime scene.
I remember finding out the Jays-Rangers playoff games were to be day-games and being pissed off I couldn't be at home to take it in with the my wife, kids and potentially (for sure) a Rye n' Coke. However, after high fiving the sh** out of colleagues and friends at work, I thought to myself, here it is: #ComeTogether.
One Nation rallying behind a team that is literally making magic happen. A team that is reminding us we are all on the same team and (in this case) there is no such thing as a bandwagon.
It's been 22 years since this happened and we don't know when it will happen again.
Dig out your snowboard goggles, keep some bubbly on hand and #ComeTogether.
